U8 Blitz this Saturday 24th Sept at 9:30am Hawkfield

Dear Parents/Guardians,

The Southboard U8 blitz will take place on Saturday 24th in Hawkfield at 9:30am. 
 
Athgarvan have a team entered . It is always a good blitz and we will be playing at least 3 matches against other clubs.
There will be a medal presentation for the children afterwards so please try to come along and enjoy. Please be in Hawkfield for 9:30am.

U-16 Game v Suncroft

 U16 C FOOTBALL GROUP 1

Well done to both Athgarvan and Suncroft  U-16 Teams who  played out a close and entertaining game on Friday evening in Suncroft. The game had some excellent scores and both teams played great football in a tight but evenly match game. It was a tremendous effort and with Athgarvan winning on a  SUNCROFT GFC 2-16  ATHGARVAN 4-11 scoreline .

Kelloggs Cul Camps 11th -15th July 2016

Kelloggs Cul Camps at Athgarvan GAA on 11th-15th of July The camp is open to boys and girls at primary school from 6 up to 12 years of age.The camp will run Monday to Friday 10 am to 2:30 pm and will be taken by coaches from Kildare GAA. It’s a great opportunity for kids to have some fun during the summer, get some continued training/ bring on their skills and hopefully get them even more into the habit of practicing away from training/matches. Ath v Ellistown Athgarvan Line up Athgarvan V Ellistown2 Our Under-10 ‘s taking part in the matches at halftime in Sunday’s National League game between Kildare & Sligo in Newbridge . It was a great opportunity for them to play in front of a large crowd and to experience playing in St. Conleth’s Park, hopefully it will be the first of many days playing there !

 

The club will be taking part in the Newbridge St. Patrick’s Day parade next Thursday- we will be meeting at Tesco for 11 am. We would love to see as many kids and adults alike taking part on the day, as it is a great way to promote our club and for everyone to come together. Remember your club colours too !!

Juvenile Training will take place as normal this Saturday 19th. No Training on Easter Saturday 26th March. We will resume Juvenile Training on Saturday 2nd April at 10.30 am. 

St. Patrick’s Day Parade

Newbridge St. Patrick’s Day Parade

Athgarvan GAA are taking  part in the Newbridge St Patrick’s Day parade. We intend to walk with about 3O children in the club colours and carry a banner promoting the club.

Please meet at the Tesco Car Park @ 11.00am on Thursday .

  All are welcome and we looking forward to Athgarvan GAA club been involved.

Please wear Club colours/jerseys if you have them. The club will also have jerseys available on the day.

New Season Training -starts Saturday 5th March at 10:30am

Athgarvan GAA Juvenile Training resumes with Registration on 5 March at 10:30 am at the clubhouse. All ages from u5 to U13, boys and girls welcome. Looking forward to new and returning children joining the club for a new season.

Refurbishment of the clubhouse


   Just an update on the clubhouse. Thanks to everyone for supporting our recent fundraiser and as an outcome of the AGM,the refurbishment of the clubhouse has begun. The attached pictures show some of the work carried out. Hopefully it will be looking good for training in the next few weeks.
